The Benchpress concept (see other work) quickly turned into a snowboard event called Bench Heaven, which I hosted in Oslo Winterpark in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

 

This was an open event where anyone could come ride the custom built park full of custom built benches. Small obstacles and a low barrier of entry intended to push the boundaries of creativity on a snowboards.

The God of Bench Heaven won an actual designer bench made in collaboration with Brekka Design. I didn't want the main trophy be something that would just end up in a box in the attic. 

 

With 100+ riders showing up three years in a row from all over Norway, Europe and even across the pond - the events were a huge success, and was a part of the reason I was awarded "Passion of the Year" at the Norwegian Snowboard Awards in 2019.

Why only three events? They only made three Lord of the Rings.
